Organizers plan to build trade school in honor of late judge
Board members for the organization, named for the late Judge Richard Dinkins, include Jim Todd, Katie Hagan, Frank Abernathy, former Mayor Karl Dean and Judge Sheila Calloway.
The goal is to open a trade school for teenagers, and the organization is currently operating from the McGruder Family Resource Center until a standalone building can be built. Tim Forbes, a former Catholic school principal, has been hired to lead the effort.
